FitFlop Women's Slingback Sandal

Description

In 2007, Dr. David Cook and Darren James (biomechanists at London South Bank University LSBU) collaborated with Marcia Kilgore (an entrepreneur and multi-tasking mother) to create the world’s first muscle-activating flip flop: the FitFlop sandal. Built with simple, sporty looking straps and an ergonomically engineered Microwobbleboard midsole, the concept was a phenomenal, global success. So when fans began to send feedback detailing how fantastic FitFlop sandals made them feel, Kilgore decided to take this technology and weave it into a full, multi-occasion footwear collection. Now, boasting two patent-pending technologies (Microwobbleboard and Biomimetix midsoles) FitFlop’s goal is to create fun, energizing, beautiful shoes that, when you wear them, make you feel like you’ve got the world at your feet.

You just might feel like you can do anything when your feet feel great in FitFlop Women's Sling Sandals Today women around the world wear FitFlop sandals to help diffuse underfoot pressure, absorb shock and reduce stress on joints. Patent-pending Microwobbleboard technology was created by a senior biomechanist at London South Bank University to activate certain leg muscles through three densities of EVA. A high-density heel absorbs shock in lower legs to help relieve joint stress. A low-density midsection creates slight instability, which increases lower leg muscle activation. A mid-density toe area helps increase stability. This casual presents a strappy look with criss-cross fabric webbing straps with a hook-and-loop backstrap for easy adjustability.

3 out of 5 stars Fit is somewhat big!

Fit is somewhat big! I am still not sure if I will keep them as for the price of almost 100$ I was expecting perfecting when it come to sandals. I usually buy size 7,5, these I got in size 7 and they still feel loose. I am not sure what I will do about this. Otherwise very comfy and great look.

I have many problems with my feet, and Fit Flop shoes are the most comfortable shoes that I have found in years! I walked several miles a day on my vacaton in this slingback and felt terrific! No foot pain or knee pain. The shoes needed no break-in. Comfy from the first step. This is my 7th pair of FitFlops and probably my favorite pair.

5 out of 5 stars Fit Flops for Problem feet

I have problem feet - my feet sweat, they're wide, and I develop heel pain from plantar fasciitis if I don't get a lot of support and stretch. Not good. As a result, I have gone through loads of shoes trying to find any that are comfortable and don't leave me with stinky feet and in pain after wearing. Fit Flops are my go-to shoe now. I am on my 4th pair, different styles/purposes. I absolutely love them. Not because I think they look stylish, necessarily, but because they are exactly what they profess to be!This particular shoe gives my feett the support that I wanted for lots of walking in hot weather. They fit my wide foot beautifully without cramping my toes... did I mention that my toes are short and stubby? Ugh. The back strap adjusts to help secure the foot and the cushion/support is amazing. I can't speak to any other "workout" benefits... nothing that I notice, but then I have strong shins. All in all, cannot recommend the shoe enough for anyone with similar problems.

3 out of 5 stars Happy Enough to Keep, But A Little Disappointed

I have arthritis and am always in the market for a comfortable new shoe. My friend had a pair of flip flops made by FitFlop and wanted me to try them on. They were SOOOO comfortable and cushioned that I ran home and decided to order from this company. I don't like anything between my toes, so I opted for these sling back sandals instead. They are only about half as cushioned as my friend's pair in a different style. And the straps really aren't very adjustable, so you can't create a custom fit for your fit. They are quite loose on me but I can still wear them. I'm going to keep them, but this style could be much improved.

I have an old pair of brown Flip Flop thong sandals that I love so decided to get a new pair - and try a different style. The navy Slingback Sandal is actually more comfortable than the thongs and is so comfortable that it feels as though I'm not wearing anything on my feet - HEAVEN!

I love this brand but this pair are just too long and not true to size. I would have needed a size 5 instead of 6 which fits me fine all the time. I like that they are now making them with backs for those of us who are not steady on our feet. Had they fit better I would have given them a five.

These shoes are very comfy, I love the way the look too!! The only problem I have is that the more I wear them, the straps are kinda stretching out a little. Hopefully they would stretch out anymore or I won't be able to keep them on when I walk

3 out of 5 stars Fell apart.

I liked these shoes. They were comfortable and looked nice, but the velco strap broke after a few weeks. I wouldn't purchase them again.
