Naot "Bernice" sandal

I owned several pairs of this sandal, Bernice, a couple of years ago and loved the style. I was disappointed when Naot discontinued it but delighted to see it return. Unfortunately, the original clasp was replaced by Velcro in the new version and the shoe does not fit or adjust as well.

Comfortable

When I got my feet on a pair of naot for the first time (just 3 months ago) I felt like I could walk miles wearing comfortable shoes without renouncing to style. I've bought 5 pairs since then; I bought Kayla; Paris; Rachel; and Bernice are by far the best on my feet. The biscuit color is neutral, the elastic makes in easy and fast to put on; and the shoe fits like a glove. What I paid for all my naots is worth the investment; but I've to say that when buying on regular stores they go up to $130 or more. So the price on this site is unbeatable.

perfect for sore feet

cute shoe, fit as expected, versatile color. I have battled plantar fascitis for 4 yrs and my feet feel so much better after wearing these. I have a narrow foot and at first the shoe was a perfect tightness, but they have stretched out some now and my foot wants to slide around a bit. I'm a size 8 (39), but could have probably ordered a 9 because I think the shoe is a little short, but worry sizing up could be too wide for the rest of my foot. The corkbed feels so good on my PF issue, I don't mind the little bit of wideness, it's an issue in all my shoes, because of a narrow heel and small ankles.update: the more i wear them, the looser the leather is getting. the shoe is no longer a tight fit and the metal loop through for the strap won't stay centered. The loop tilts sideways and I can't get a tight fit like I used to. I will not be purchasing another color in this style.

NAOT REVIEW

I ordered what was called SKY Leather - which looked in the photo to be blue. Actually, it is Periwinkle, which isa cross between purple and blue - more purple actually. It is also like the tan one, it has varied shades, and somelighter spots in the leather, which tends to make it look old. I was a little disappointed in that. My tan ones looks like I've had them for several years. This is my fourth pair of this shoe, and it fits great,and I have it in 3 other colors (black, tan and pewter).The shoe itself is VERY comfortable, and holds my feet with the straps across and also around the back of the foot.I haven't found another sandal that feels this good. I normally love Naots, but these are the shoes from hell.

I thought I had worn these sandals in. I love the look and the color. I brought them to NYC on a weekend visit. There is a metal loop that hits right in the soft part of the ankle and another part of the buckle indented by a 1/8" a puncture wound on the other side. The metal loop caused a severe blister and it was a terrible weekend just because of this shoe!

Defective sandal!

I was surprised to receive a defective Naot sandal. The front cross strap of the left sandal does not attach at the same place as the cross strap on the right one, making the shoes fit differently even though they are the same size. I am now waiting for the seller to approve a return, and it could take as long as 48 hours before I know if they are returnable. NOTE: Even though, I received a defective product, it is not processed like a regular Amazon return. I wish I had noticed this before ordering the product. I am sticking to Amazon Only products in the future.

Comfort From The Moment I Slipped Them On!

This is my second pair of Naot's Bernice sandals. The first pait wore out after three years of wear and I was concerned I wouldn't be able to find them again. I have a narrow foot with a high arch and shoes are hard for me to find. These sandals went from box to my foot and out the door in 0 to 60 seconds! They hug me just right and wear beautifully. I especially love the criss-cross design of the leather. Very slimming and comfortable. Love them!!
