I needed a pair of flat, dressy sandals and found these. The straps are leather and are well made. There is a slight hint of gold running through the straps, and the bottom piece where your toes rest on is gold. The rest is silver. At first, I didn't like this idea, but in retrospect, this is good - it gives me more wardrobe options. Definitely true to size...if you have a really wide foot though, they may not work for you. Also, you can dress them up OR down.
