Description
You'll certainly sizzle in these sexy showstoppers from Frye. A supple cage of leather straps wrap your feet in rustic chic, while leaving toes and ankles bare. Joy's heels are sky-high but tapered for stability, and the major platform adds balance. Traction on the leather sole helps you get a grip, and the ankle buckle means these babies don't slip.
The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Today Frye remains true to its roots with its line of heritage boots, but continues to innovate as it introduces chic new handbags, pumps, and sandals to its collection.

These look so cool on, but beware...you will be stopped and asked "WHERE DID YOU GET THOSE SHOES????". Now, I have read on other shoe websites that women have had issues with the ankle strap not being in the right spot and slip down....I agree. But I purchased some little heel-strap supports called "PEDAG"...sold on Amazon, that self adhese to the inside of the ankle strap and they work perfectly! So now that I have all the colors I need in my size,(7 colors) I am happy to share this little secret. Don't return these until you try the strap support...I think even a thin strip of moleskin from the drugstore would work. These are pretty high heeled, so I have had to practice walking in these around the house and outside. But when the UPS man commented "nice shoes"...I knew I would be keeping them. The colors are pretty true on the website, except the blue ones are really a deep teal blue. All the colors I bought are deep and rich.

So pretty but very poorly designed. The ankle strap is positioned too low & at an angle that lets it fall off with each step. I wish I could wear them because they look so good, but they're going back.

I love FRYE SHOES/BOOTS, but these shoe look really sharp but do not fit well. The back strap slips off your heel the min you take a walk in them. It's ashame, because they are really hot shoes but if you have to go and by adhesive for the strap ,it's just not worth it.

Love this shoe and they are totally comfortable but unfortunately, my heel isn't fat enough to keep it on my foot so I had to send them back...I was sad...
