I bought these after seeing someone wearing them on a hike. She said they were the most comfortable shoes ever, and they were prettier than most hiking shoes, so I went online and found them. I was super excited to get them and had high hopes for finally finding a pair of shoes that were both comfortable for all day wear and not hideously ugly. My hopes were dashed when after my first 30 minute walk on pavement the top strap of the right shoe had rubbed a bloody hole into my foot. I have tried and tried to adjust them, but I can't get that one shoe to not rub. I've tried again always with the same outcome (The other shoe is fine). I can't tell you how disappointed I feel, and how this reinforces that buying shoes online without trying them on first is probably not a good plan.

I love and own many pairs of Alegrias. The foot bed and contour of the arch is very comfortable for my fussy feet. I love the Verona Alegria style and especially prefer back strap to make the shoe more secure. I also own the Alegria Karmen sandal, size 39--it fits perfect but has no back strap on the Karmen. Why 4 stars for the Verona? The Verona, size 39, ran a bit too large. It even looked too big my foot. Sadly, I had to return them.

I had to return these shoes because I couldn't get the ankle strap tight enough to quit flopping when I walked. Also, the ankle straps cut into the top of my feet and the toe straps cut my toes. Was the material or stitching too rough??? Too bad. Cute shoes.

these squeak annoyingly with every step. Extremely comfortable but the footbed squeaks with the bottom of the shoe. As a teacher, I can't wear them in the classroom! What to do....

Cuts into the side of my footBeLogical
I've only worn these once, because the strap on the outer part of my left foot kept cutting into the side of my foot. The cut was in the worst spot possible and took over a week to heal, because no matter which shoes I wore, it rubbed. I'm afraid to wear them again. Wasted a lot of money on them.
