review of bernie mev shoes and lamentations re return fees

i now have five pairs of b.mev's in 3 different styles. the cindy slip-on is great but i only have one (41) that fits perfectly. the next 41 i ordered was sloppy big so i exchanged for a sz 40 which was wearable but still slightly larger than the perfect fitting 41 i have. go know?i do not think this is the fault of the sellers...it is def a manufacturing issue. i just wish i could figure out how to get another pair of the cindy slip-on that fits so perfectly w/o spending a fortune in return fees. in fact these return shipping fees are making me less and less liable to order shoes and/or clothes on-line.bless the free returns wherever they went.okay, well you asked, sincerely, berdalee

Get 1-2 sizes bigger!

The Cindy Slip-On runs very small - I'm a standard 8-1/2 American and ordered 39 M, and it is too tight. I am now going up to a 40 W in hopes it will fit. What is odd is that the Comfy MaryJane runs large - I also got a 39 M and it is at least one if not two sizes too large! Annoying to have to keep sending things back and forth, but I cannot find in stores where I live (Miami). They are great shoes but the company needs more quality assurance with its Chinese manufacturers!

Nice Sandal but

This is my 1st pair of Bernie Mev and the sizing comments were mixed so I was not sure what size was best. Since this is an open sandal I decided to go with 40. Wrong choice. It is too tight in width and length. I am returning it for a 41. I think this will be a great hot weather sandal.

Not extremely cute, but very comfy. Back strap is pretty snug and pushes foot forward a bit much. Wish they had 1/2 sizes.

love these shoes

Love these shoes. I am waiting to get them in pewter. They are so comfortable and good for my back.

Do they come in narrows?????

I wear a narrow and I thought the elastic style of these would work. They do work okay, but I had to get a size smaller for them to fit tight enough.

Just shy of my toe

I wear a women's size 10.5 but usually have to order an 11. The 41 just barely fit but my toe does go a bit over the edge when I walk. So, I put clear gel insoles in them. That stopped my toes from going over. The shoes are very comfortable, as others have written, but the arch support is average. I haven't walked in them more than 20 minutes yet but so far no leg pain. The style is very cute and I plan to wear with casual black dress for walking around the city. Even my teen daughter thinks they are cute enough to wear with a dress!

Metallic Fabric

Although I am a loyal fan of the "Bernies" - it takes a less sensitive foot to feel comfortable in this metallic fabric. The shoe is well designed, incredibly cute and was such a great price! However, I couldn't handle the rub and scratch on my feet - so needed to return them. The Cindy Sandals in black were perfect for my aging skin, confirming that the shoe is perfect when it's in their softer fabric. The bronze was such a great idea and looked great - I'm hoping the company will find an alternative material...
